Get ready for a family fun summer of great events in The Breezeway Communities of East Jordan, Ellsworth and Atwood. A wide range of festivals, cultural events and recreational activities will be held thanks to many organizations, businesses and volunteers.
The Jordan Art Walk will add seven (7) more impressive sculptures to the popular Art Walk located downtown East Jordan in Memorial and Sportsman’s Parks. A brief program and 7 Ribbon Cuttings will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, beginning at 10:30 AM in the Memorial Park Bandshell. Artists and their sponsors will cut a ribbon at their sculptures. The public is invited to attend this fun event.
The 41st Annual Ellsworth Pig Roast will run from Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18 featuring several family friendly events including a parade, food truck, music, cornhole tournament, fireman interactive game, Ice Cream Social, plus more. The four day East Jordan Freedom Festival is held the following week. The popular long running festival kicks off on Thursday, June 23 and runs thru Sunday, June 26. The family friendly event features two parades, a carnival, cornhole Tournament, several music venues, a Community Block Party, concessions and a spectacular fireworks display shot from a barge over the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix on Saturday at dusk. East Jordan will be holding their summer schedule of Music in the Park on Friday evening’s beginning on June 3 thru Friday, July 29. A wide variety of musical entertainment is offered on the Memorial Park Bandshell starting at 7:00 PM. Enjoy dining and shopping in the Community prior to the performance. On Thursday evenings throughout July the Jordan Valley Community Band performs at 7:30 PM in the Memorial Park Bandshell.
The Ellsworth Downtown Development Authority is proud to announce their first ever “Concerts on the Square” Three concerts have been scheduled thus far. First Concert will be held on June 15 and two others have been scheduled for July 13 and July 27. The concerts will start at 7:00 PM. Check the East Jordan Chamber website for further information.
The South Arm Classics Car/Boat Show is scheduled for Saturday, July 9 in downtown East Jordan. The popular event is sponsored by the East Jordan Lion’s Club.
