Before we get ready to enjoy all of our winter activities and sports, there is plenty of time to participate and experience “fall” at its finest along C-48 The Breezeway and the communities of East Jordan, Ellsworth and Atwood.
We have been very busy cutting ribbons and celebrating openings of new businesses and completions of projects and attractions. Besides great color tour trip opportunities throughout the region in your car (we have color tour maps available with points of interest to visit at our Chamber Office in East Jordan) there are many other ways to celebrate fall.
How about a kayak, canoe or guided raft trip down the wild and scenic Jordan River or the Chain of Lakes Watertrail? Don’t have a vessel, no worries we have an outfitter to supply a kayak or canoe on both waterways. If you are a mountain bike enthusiast, the new Brown’s Creek Pathway Trail, located in East Jordan near the East Jordan Middle/High School provide a great trail experience for all levels of cyclists. If you desire to “take a hike” we have six nature preserves located along the Breezeway maintained by the Little Traverse Conservancy. We have a fabulous preserve brochure or check out the LTC app.
We also have a fun corn maze, pumpkin patch, pick your own apples opportunity’s, wine tasting rooms, farmer markets, scenic chairlift ride, plenty of dining and shopping opportunities available to enjoy during your fall outing. There are lodging amenities from bed and breakfasts, motels, rentals cabins and a resort. If you haven’t taken a fall color tour in our region, be prepared for breathtaking vistas, the rolling hills of drumlins, crystal clear waters, and gorgeous farm land and orchards, historic attractions and more.
