Your Winter Adventure Awaits You In East Jordan

As I am sitting here at my dining room table writing this article our ground is covered with snow and the weather forecast is saying we could receive three to four inches of snow this evening. While we are missing out on the holiday week between Christmas and New Year’s to get out on our snowmobile trails, we know it is not much longer before we will be able to hit the trails! I have to say a huge thank you and much appreciation to the dedicated and hardworking volunteers of the Jordan Valley Trails Council. They have worked throughout the past months getting the trails cleared, signed and ready for the season. Now they are anxiously awaiting the time to be able to get those snowmobile trail groomers on the trails! We are so fortunate to have such wonderful volunteers in our area and state committed to ensuring our trails and riding experiences are possible and safe for all to enjoy.

While we are still in the midst of the pandemic, snowmobiling and the many other winter recreational sports we have available in our area provide a safe and enjoyable way to get outside, get exercise, enjoy nature and see our family and friends at a safe social distance.

The community of East Jordan is a snowmobile friendly town and snowmobiles are able to ride in town on the designated trail route. Our businesses are open and lodging is available. We are hoping that by mid January you will be able to dine in our restaurants (locally owned and operated). In the meantime, they are open for delicious take out breakfast, lunch and dinner. Besides great snowmobiling, our area offers one of the very few opportunities to enjoy a winter raft trip. Take a memorable, guided raft trip down the wild and scenic Jordan River with Jordan Valley Outfitters. We also offer excellent ice fishing spots, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. We are located nearby Boyne Mountain Resort for great downhill skiing and more.
